Q&A

Q. What was it that drew you to Armanino?
I serve in a unique role, working with entertainment clients in business management in the New York office. What drew me to Armanino was that my clients require a deep bench of expertise as they expand their brands into other businesses like clothing, restaurants and products in multiple states. Armanino’s specialists can step in when needed, giving clients access to the expertise of a wide range of people. My clients see the benefits of the firm’s entrepreneurial mindset and technology capabilities. Armanino’s commitment to doing good and its B Corporation certification are important to me and my clients.
Q. Make a prediction; describe your vision of the future of the general business environment for your area of expertise or the industries you serve.
Entertainment industry professionals are shifting how they think about new opportunities in the market and creating multiple revenue streams. A direct-to-consumer model will continue to shift how entertainers deliver their work to customers, a change that demands in-depth business management support. I enjoy helping clients with these complex business decisions and accounting and compliance requirements.
Q. Please tell us one fun fact about yourself.
I’m an owner of a bar in New York, Death & Co, and I built a bar in my home where I’ve hosted weekly cocktail parties. I’m a true entrepreneur at heart, and combining my love of great cocktails and entertaining with business is the perfect mix of all my interests.
Q. Describe your work style.
I’ve always treated my business as if it were one of my children. Everyone I work with is part of that family. I don’t think of work as separate from my life—I see the bigger picture of one cohesive life where my roles are seamlessly integrated and fun.
Q. Who is (or was) the most influential person in your life
My parents. Neither are business owners or have business acumen, so they weren’t influential in my career in that way, but they taught me everything about integrity, ethics and morals. This business is all about trust. You have to create trust with your clients to be successful.
Q. What do you love most about your work?
Being able to be such a critical part of someone’s career is a special right. I’ve seen clients through some hard times, before they make it big, and have then seen their lives be transformed by success. I enjoy developing long-term relationships and going through each client’s journey alongside them.
