Armanino Joins the Institute of Internal Auditors

Seminars Provide General Strategies for Vendor Risk Management and GRC Implementation

SAN RAMON, Calif. (February 6, 2018) – Armanino LLP, one of the top 25 largest accounting and business consulting firms in the U.S., today announced it teamed up with the Institute of Internal Auditors’ (IIA) East Bay Chapter to present on risk management and compliance topics.  The series continues with its next event on February 22 at 8 a.m., where Jay Ranade of Risk Management Professional International will present on vendor risk management at Armanino’s San Ramon office located at 12657 Alcosta Blvd. Suite #500, San Ramon, California.

The series covers several topics including:

Vendor Risk Management - Hosted at Armanino’s San Ramon office, this seminar will help attendees manage vendor risks originating from organization policies and regulatory requirements. 

Topics to be covered include the following: what is vendor risk, types of vendor risks, 4-elements (RA, due diligence, contracting, and oversight), vendor risk assessment and treatment, monitoring of vendor risk, VRM framework/governance/policy, IT-related vendor risks, vendor risk management from cloud computing, regulatory compliance, SOC 2 reviews, and awareness and training for vendor interfacing employees.

GRC Implementation - Presented by Armanino Governance, Risk & Compliance practice partners Jeremy Sucharski and Eric Weis, on March 8, 2018 at the Chevron Main Campus in San Ramon, located at 6101 Bollinger Canyon Road.

This presentation defines the GRC program and technology that manages enterprise risks, teaches attendees the basics about implementing GRC, determining scope and strategy of a GRC program, program governance, program structure and guidelines, risk and control management, monitoring and reporting, leveraging technology and tool selection.
