SAN RAMON, Calif. (July 11, 2016) – Armanino LLP, the largest independent accounting and business consulting firm based in California, announced today that it has expanded its fifth annual nonprofit symposium to include events in both Northern and Southern California. Free half-day forums will be held Wednesday, July 13 at the Hyatt Regency in San Francisco and Thursday, July 14 at the Montage Beverly Hills. Titled “Rethinking Sustainability,” the symposium will help finance leaders at nonprofit organizations create a more flexible, efficient and impactful finance team with the help of the right people, technology and reporting. In addition to education and networking, the event offers an opportunity for continuing education (CE) credit.
“Armanino has had compliance and software professionals dedicated to the needs of the nonprofit sector for more than 40 years,” said Paul O’Grady, partner-in-charge of Armanino’s Nonprofit Practice. “Now in it’s fifth year, we are excited to expand the event to Southern California, where we’re seeing great interest from our registrants.”
Both days, the forum will open with a keynote from Vu Le, executive director of Seattle-based Rainier Valley Corps and founder of the blog nonprofitwithballs.com. He will discuss whether sustainability truly exists in the nonprofit sector and how finance can reshape the conversation surrounding sustainability. Following the keynote, panel discussions and presentations will address building and managing a flexible finance team, technology efficiencies and the CFO’s strategic role in strategic board reporting.
