Bio
Robert has over 25 years of public accounting experience conducting ERISA audits of employee benefit plans (both single and multi-plan environments), including plan mergers and liquidations. His broad expertise includes audits of plans with public company stock (including their 11- K filings), non-SEC defined contribution plan audits, defined benefit pension plan audits, health and welfare benefit plan audits, and master trust arrangements. He has also instructed and presented on qualified plan auditing at the national, state and local level, and he has served as an AICPA EBP Audit Guide revisions subcommittee member.
Prior to joining Armanino, Robert served as the qualified plan assurance practice leader and national employee benefit plan committee chair for a large national accounting firm. He has also led employee benefit plan audit practices at a large international firm and with the Big Four. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Southwest Benefits Association and the Worldwide Employee Benefits Network. He received his B.B.A. in accounting from Texas Tech University, Rawls College of Business.
