Q&A

Q. What is it about accounting and consulting that first drew your interest?
I have always been drawn to solving complex challenges, and the accounting profession seemed like a perfect fit for me.
Q. Without naming names, tell us about your favorite client and why you enjoyed working with them.
My favorite client was a Switzerland-based internet provider holding company. They had an excellent chief financial officer and a strong accounting team. I also enjoyed the interplay of Swiss tax laws.
Q. What’s your proudest moment?
When I became a senior officer (captain) in the U.S. Army, and when I made partner at Armanino. These two moments really boil down to recognition of civilian and professional achievements.
Q. If you could pass on a nugget of wisdom to aspiring accountants or consultants, what would that be?
I have always encouraged early career accountants to exercise patience and always be proactive.
Q. What do you love most about your work?
The opportunity to work with a diverse group of people in different types of businesses and industries.
