Q&A

Q. Make a prediction, describe your vision of the business future.
There will be lots of change! I find some of my more traditional clients hesitate to embrace new workflows. When clients are more conservative in the ways they run their business, I try to reassure them and help them decide what type of change is right for them. From trends like Zoom to modernizing company culture, I help family offices and high net worth clients find the best update or change for them.
Q. Without naming names, tell us about your favorite client and why you enjoyed working with them.
I feel very lucky because I have multiple favorite clients. I’m able to work closely with multiple generations — the person who created the wealth, the one who’s maintaining it and the one who’s preparing to inherit it. So, it feels like I’m part of the family in decision-making. When I help them reach their goals, that’s when work becomes more rewarding.
Q. Describe your work style.
I’m very versatile in my work style. I take pride in helping my clients and my team with anything they need from me. Some people work best in a hands-off environment and others prefer more hand holding. I try to understand what others want or need and make sure I’m helping them along the way.
Q. What’s your proudest moment?
When my team members get promoted. It feels great to see them soar. Because I’ve been at the firm for so long, I’ve seen some people go from staff all the way to senior managers. I can’t wait to see them become partners. I love seeing and helping people grow from mentees to peers.
Q. Who is (or was) the most influential person in your life?
My parents. They’re immigrants who gave up everything they had in their country to provide our family with more opportunities in America. I owe a lot of what I have to them. It’s because they chose a life of hardship that their kids can now have something better.
