Q&A

Q. What was it that drew you to Armanino?
I came out of school during the recession. I remember meeting Andy Armanino at a recruiting conference where he showed a graph of the firm’s massive growth. I had never seen that type of growth in a company before, and I realized that with growth comes opportunities.
Q. What keeps you up at night?
The future for my kids. It’s hard to know what is going to happen in the next 20 years, and I want to make sure they will have the same opportunities that I had to get an education and live the life that I’ve been able to live. I would like the world to still be a good place when my kids are grown.
Q. Describe your work style.
Very engaging. It’s important to me to communicate and engage with my clients and team members so that we can move forward together.
Q. Who is (or was) the most influential person in your life
My parents. They gave me the opportunity to go to school without the burden of debt. They were able to form me into who I am and set an example of balance with two working parents.
Q. If you could pass on a nugget of wisdom to aspiring accountants or consultants, what would that be?
Pass the CPA exam, then buckle in for a long, fulfilling journey and don’t lose focus on the long-term goals that you may set for yourself. Don’t make decisions for short-term rewards.
Q. What do you love most about your work?
The variety of people and work and getting to do something different or new every day even if it is the same client for 10 years. That’s what keeps me going.
