If you have recently upgraded to Management Reporter from FRx or just started using Management Reporter, I have a few tips and tricks when you want to go beyond the basic report design options.

Management Reporter basic report design includes the use of row and column definitions to design basic report layouts, with the occasional use of a tree to filter and roll-up results utilizing the same row and column definitions. While these reporting functions will address 80 – 90% of your company's financial reporting needs, there are occasional reporting layouts and complex calculations that can have you stuck in front of your computer designing reports for days.

Below are a few key questions to help you decide when to use advanced report writing techniques in Management Reporter.

Between these two advanced concepts, Management Reporter can really extend past the GL to meet more of your financial reporting, including month-end, quarterly or year-end reports.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out. Armanino's Dynamics GP team can help you unlock the potential of these functions and extend your use of Management Reporter.
