Armanino ‘Great Give’ Day of Service is May 23


More Than 9,000 Hours of Community Service Since 2009

SAN RAMON, CA (May 21, 2013) – – ArmaninoLLP, the 29th largest accounting and business consulting firm in the nation and the largest based in California, announced it will close all of its offices this Thursday, May 23rd, and donate 2200 hours of staff time sending 272 employees out to volunteer a full day of service to 23 organizations during the firm’s “Great Give” day of community service.

Employees from Armanino’s three Bay Area offices, Portland and Chicago offices will paint, garden, perform data entry, work with animals, pour cement, clear brush, spend time with elderly citizens and children and build or finish small structures.

Since 2009, the Armanino workforce has donated a total of approximately 9,000 hours of community service to more than 100 nonprofit organizations ranging from local schools, assisted living communities, and animal shelters to food banks, homeless shelters, parks and many other community organizations.

“Giving back is one of the foundations of our culture at Armanino,” notes Managing Partner Andy Armanino. “Nonprofit organizations are a major practice area within our firm and so we are quite familiar with their ongoing need for volunteer support. This is one of the many ways in which we support the nonprofits that keep our communities vital and capable of supporting all kinds of people from all walks of life.”

This year, 20 organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area and 3 organizations in the Portland and Chicago area will host and receive Armanino volunteers during The Great Give event. These include the following San Francisco Bay Area organizations:

Aim High for High School, San Francisco; Anka Behavioral Health, Inc., Concord; Building Opportunities for Self Sufficiency, Berkeley; Family Giving Tree, Milpitas; Golden Heritage Living, San Jose; Lincoln Child Center, Oakland; Meals on Wheels, San Francisco; Montalvo Arts Center, Saratoga; Monument Crisis Center, Concord; OnLok Lifeways, San Francisco; San Damiano Retreat Center, Danville; Seven Hills School, Walnut Creek; Silicon Valley Education Foundation, San Jose; SonRise Equestrian Foundation, Castro Valley; St. Jarlath Catholic School, Oakland; St. Joan of Arc Parish, San Ramon; St. John the Baptist Catholic School, El Cerrito; St. Leander Catholic School, San Leandro; St. Perpetua’s Garden of Learning, Lafayette; and the Women’s Initiative for Self-Employment, Oakland. In the Portland area The Nature Conservancy and in the Chicago Area Loaves & Fishes and Feed My Starving Children.
